Golfers of all abilities, get your golf clubs ready, PCYC and Duntryleague are hosting a Golf Charity Day on the 17th of February.

All money raised from the day will stay within the Orange PCYC. It will be used for PCYC activities and it will also help Police with Youth Programs. PCYC Orange’s Dave Cleal said, “It’s a very worthwhile event to get behind and it’s a really fun day, we don’t rely heavily on government grants so we do rely on the odd fundraising days we can put together.”

This year over 80 participants have already signed up which is fantastic, with more spots available the PCYC team are encouraging more people to jump on the bandwagon. What more could you want to do on a Sunday?

“We held the event for the first-time last year, due to the amount of rainfall the day before and the continued amount the next day unfortunately we lost some players, but we got through, we had over 60 golfers and it was still a great day.”

At $35 a player, the charity event is a four-man Ambrose with a shotgun start happening at 1pm. A BBQ lunch will be held prior, with raffles and prizes for longest drives etc. Don’t worry if you don’t have a handicap - the team will issue you with one.
