Olga Wheeler

This week I caught up with the beautiful Olga Wheeler. “I feel proud to be 99. I’ve had a long life, and I’ve had a good life, strangely enough it’s gone quickly. I’ve never wanted for anything; my children and grandchildren are wonderful to me.”

Edith Walden - Words of Wisdom

This week I caught up with the hilariously cheeky Edith Walden. “I think it’s the best town in the world myself, I’m very proud of Orange, it’s well-kept, it’s nice to look at and nice to travel around it- best place in the world, I’m an Orange girl through and through.”

David Birt

This week we caught up with Mr David Birt. A former Veteran, I was told he has a plaque from the French Government thanking David for his service. “It’s been quite an exciting life I’ve lived, I often think about it and think it has been great.”

Betty Weale - Words of Wisdom

“The year after the war I was a finalist in the Miss Australia Competition, it was about who raised the most money for charity. I was on the front page of the paper when I made my debut. We went out on a boat once and when we got right out the boat broke down, we had to wait for the lifesaver and swim ashore, well I didn’t wait for the lifesaver I swam myself to shore.” *laughs*
