March 1 – Thoroughbred Horse Racing – Orange

Enjoy the fun and excitement of horse racing at Towac Park.

March 2 – Huge Bird Sale

The Annual Orange Bird Sale will be held at the PCYC on Saturday March 2 between 10am and 2am. Over 7000 birds are expected to be on show.

March 2 and 3 – Wentworth Mine Open Day

Visit the Wentworth Main Mine between 10 and 2.30 during their Open Days this weekend. Entry is by gold coin donation.

March 1: FNL - Friday Night Live at Club Millthorpe

Join Gav, Jon, Gen, Christion & Ando at Club Millthorpe for live acoustic renditions of your favourite songs from 7.30pm.

March 3: Spring Hill Coffee, Car, Trucks and Bikes Show

10am-2pm.   The Spring Hill Activities Group along with the Spring Hill Railway Hotel are holding their bi-annual Coffee, Car, Trucks and Bikes Show between 10 and 2. Entertainment at the Railway Hotel will start at 2pm with Justin Landers providing country Rock’n’Roll music.

March 3: Morton Choppers at Washington & Co.

Round out your weekend with live music on Sunday evening from Morgan Choppers at Washington & Co. There’ll be a little bit of folk, Australiana, blues and country, 8pm-11.30pm.

March 3: Sunday Session at the Bowlo, Canowindra

Emerging singer/songwriter James Rutten will be joining Canowindra’s popular Sunday Sessions at the Bowlo in March! James will be performing at the Canowindra Community Bowls and Recreation Club from 3-6pm.

For just $23, a bus will be running from Orange to Canowindra via Cudal, leaving Summer Street (opposite Hotel Canobolas) at 1.45pm. The bus will depart from the Sunday Session at 6.45pm and arrive back in Orange about 8pm. Tickets can be purchased online. Find the link on the Sunday Sessions at the Bowlo Facebook page. March 3: Clean Up Australia Day


Join the Orange community in keeping our wonderful town clean. At Elephant Park residents will gather to do their part in the clean up. From 10am, just bring yourselves.

March 3: Opening the Conversation with Swanee

Come and hear raw and powerful stories about mental health battles at this exclusive one-day-only, gourmet BBQ lunch! Swanee himself and ‘I Am Worthmore founder’, Luke McLean, will be in attendance to present their stories to you. March 9: Orange and District Horticultural Society Flower Show

Orange and District Horticultural Society Spring flower show will be held at the St Barnabas Hall on (corner of Dora and McLachlan Street). Admission will be $5 and the show will be open from 10am-4:30pm. For further information please contact Alison on 0407 614 436.

March 18 – 23: Sheepdog Workers State Selection Championship

The New South Wales Sheep Dog Championships have returned to Molong for their 31st year. The event will be held at the Dr Ross Memorial Recreational Ground, Molong from 3pm.

March 30 – 31: Spring Hill Whistlestop Festival

Spring Hill Whistlestop Festival is over two days, with Saturday 31st March being an all-day festival including displays of history and demonstrations of shearing, blacksmithing, old machinery and kids activities. Sunday at the Spring Hill Church display local produce, plants, display for the Harvest Festival. A gold coin donation is required, 10am - 5pm.
