The Ophir Hotel

The Ophir’s Back!

Vegan stir-fry- soy bean with Asian vegetables in a kecap manis and sweet chilli reduction.

That’s right, the Ophir is back and thrilled to announce it’s with a fresh new menu to boot! All your old favourites remain don’t worry, but there are plenty of delicious new additions including a ‘by the way, I’m vegan’ section which we showcase in these images.

Other vegan dishes include; Felafel tacos and Tofu curry.

The Ophir’s extensive menu caters to every taste with fresh and delicious pub fare, hearty salads, from the grill items, pastas, picky things to enjoy with a drink and house-made pizzas.

With weekly specials and lunch deals, they’ve also got lots of great options for the kids, as well as soft serve ice cream and novelty toppings from the ice cream bar, and YES! The playground is open (capacity restrictions apply)

The team post their upcoming events on Instagram and Facebook so follow along at ‘theophirhotel.’

Head Chef, Mark Tracey

“I’ve been a Chef for 34 years, previously I was living in Sydney working for InterContinental Sydney, and a couple of small restaurants; Stuyvesant's House and Edna’s Table.

I moved to Orange about 22 years ago, to manage Duntryleauge where I then became Head Chef, I was then at Kelly’s Pub for 10 years and now at the Ophir Hotel I have been here for one year.

I love everything about the Ophir but especially the people, it just feels like one big family here - a real community.”
