Mercure Orange has successfully achieved Eco Certification through Ecotourism Australia, becoming the only local tourism business listed on their Green Travel Guide.

The certification process took more than 12 months to complete and involved a comprehensive assessment of all the hotel’s environmental practices, sustainability initiatives and commitment to continuous improvement.

To achieve the certification, Mercure Orange made efforts to improve resource efficiency and reduce waste, while working on sustainable business practices

and community engagement.

“Achieving Eco Certification is a significant accomplishment for the hotel and reflects the dedication of the entire team to reducing environmental impacts while providing exceptional guest experiences," Mercure Orange manager Kristy Wallace said.

“The hotel looks forward to continuing its sustainability journey over the coming years, building on its current initiatives and identifying new opportunities to reduce its environmental footprint while supporting the local Orange community and showcasing the region as a sustainable tourism destination”.

Mercure Orange has now achieved certification for the next three years. It is also now the only Orange accommodation provider listed on the Green Travel Guide, which features all the experiences and destinations certified by Ecotourism Australia as adopting global best-practice sustainable and ecotourism standards.
