Whether you need a comprehensive managed IT solution for your business or a little help with your home wifi, Piontek IT will be there for you when you need it.
Piontek IT is Orange’s newest managed IT services provider, but founders Nicole and Andy Pointek are no strangers to the Colour City and bring with them decades of combined experience across all levels of the IT industry.
In fact, the husband-and-wife team have been helping solve Orange’s IT problems since the 1990s, when they ran a small home business, Orange PC Troubleshooters.
Now, after two decades developing their skills in the large city tech firms, Nicole and Andy have returned to the Central West to offer their extensive expertise to local businesses and home users alike.
“We came back to Orange and were working for a Sydney-based business, but decided to start our own business again and do it ourselves,” Nicole said.
“Between us we've got a complete toolkit put together, and so we're offering managed services to businesses, but we are also looking after home users; we're there to bridge that gap.”
“That’s right,” Andy agreed. “We carry with us the skills to do MSP-level work to large data centres, but we don't want to exclude the ma and pa users that otherwise are not getting any support or paying through the nose to get it.”
Piontek IT offer everything from managed IT support and cloud solutions to telephony systems and cybersecurity. They can even provide training services to equip individuals and teams with the practical knowledge and confidence they need to get the most from their systems, tools, and processes.
While Andy has extensive hands-on experience in infrastructure, networking, and communications, Nicole’s specialties lie in cloud technology, particularly the Microsoft ecosystem, and her ability to decipher the jargon and explain things to customers in a way that just makes sense.
“Security is a focus for us,” Andy added. “Be that your typical 365-style security, or anti-phishing training; it's all about keeping you safe, whether it be in a corporate environment or at home.
“We allow business owners to forget about the IT, the risks, the worries, and get on with doing what it is they do best.”
But at Piontek IT, the real difference lies in their people-centred approach. Being local, Andy and Nicole believe in building partnerships with their customers, so when you call, you are not talking to a stranger in a call centre, but someone who knows you, knows your business and genuinely cares whether things go right
“We like to be part of the business family; we make ourselves part of your business, so that you feel comfortable reaching out to us and asking us questions or getting help without feeling silly,” Nicole said.
“It is exactly that,” Andy added. “Customer support and service is something that's primary for us. You ring us as if you were ringing the guy in the next office to say, hey, this is behaving stupidly, fix it!
“We completely manage that support environment, so if it's the internet is down, if it's phones aren't working, if it's the PCs are going slow; the answer to everything is "Call Piontek IT!” That is the niche we fill.”
