The Orange Winter Fire Festival is over for another year and so is another successful wassailing at Small Acres Cyder. Wassailing is an ancient custom from the British Isles that involves visiting orchards, banging pots, making noise and singing to the trees in order to encourage a healthy harvest for the next season. It has been reborn here in Orange in recent years, with "Wassailers" getting into the spirit of the event and dressing up for the occasion.

Small Acres Cyder owner Nick Geoghegan said it was a sold-out event with 90 Wassailers enjoying the bonfire, music and, of course, the cider!
