Throughout its 70-year life, the Emmco-Email-Electrolux factory employed women in a number of key areas. This photo from January 1965 shows women painting, trimming and assembling a variety of plastic components for refrigerators. Women also worked in coil winding, harness assembly and enamelling. Women were highly regarded at the factory for their skill, reliability and genuine desire to do their best.
