It was nice to feel a touch of spring in the air over the weekend, although the weather outside, as I write this on Tuesday, is much less pleasant. Still, being a bush kid who grew up where people excitedly counted every point, I can never really knock the rain.

Inside this week’s edition, we reveal the line-up for Zest Fest, which returns to Robertson Park for a third year on November 14. You will find the full line-up on page 7, and I reckon it should be a top day out!

Don’t forget Legacy Week begins this Sunday, August 20, and our local branch is calling on the Orange community to step up and give what they can to help support veterans’ families. An expansion of eligibility means many families will be seeking help from the veterans’ organisation, and it is only through community fundraisers like Legacy Week that they will be able to do so. So look out for volunteers selling badges and other fundraising merchandise over the coming week or visit legacy.com.au to see how you can help.
