It was a great day for children when the Seven Seas fish and chip shop opened at Five Ways in February 1964, with free chips and balloons on offer. A long queue spilled out into the street at youngsters jumped at the chance to enjoy a rare treat. Stan Petrellis left Stan’s Fish Shop in Summer Street to operate the new shop, which was in business for many years.
