Orange City Women's Bowling Club News:

The Major Fours Championships kicked off last week at Orange City.

Conditions were difficult on a fast green and a cold breeze that would chill even the most seasoned bowlers.

Teams making it through to the final were Cathy Wright, Kristeen Oates, Pam Gersbach and skip Kay Kennedy, along with the team of Joann Lam, Lyn Wittig, Nerida Black and skip Helen Lord.

But congratulations go to the Club Major Fours Champion team skipped by Helen Lord. Well played ladies! It was a game truly worthy of a finals showdown, played in a competitive spirit by both teams. It was very entertaining to watch!

In the Socials, Peter Lord, Roslyn McGroder and skip Sue Clinghan won the winning rink, and Maria Cudars and Nicole Carr won the lucky losers prize.

The Raffle winner on the day was Pam Gersbach, second prize went to Virginia Dunn, and third prize winner was again Pam Gersbach. A lucky day for Pam all round!
