It was a Super Saturday to remember, headlined by a do-or-die playoff for fourth place played before a packed Toot Keegan stand. Both sets of supporters equally and loudly represented, the stage was set for an unforgettable afternoon of local netball.

The standout fixture saw OHS Hornets clinch a dramatic 45–43 victory over Hawks Royal Hotel to secure the final semi-final berth. It was a game of two halves. The Hawks flew out of the blocks, utilising the sharp shooting of Charlotte Spruce and Riley Simmons to take a commanding 16–11 lead at the first change.

However, Orange High mounted a sensational comeback. Sparked by Meakah Chippendale's trademark intercepts and the team’s suffocating zone defence, Hornets turned the tide, capitalising on scoreboard pressure to lead 37–32 at three-quarter time.

Hawks launched a furious late-game surge in the final quarter to claw back within two goals, but Hornets held their composure under intense pressure to seal the win.

It brings a disappointing end to a brilliant debut Division 1 season for many of the young Hawks, while Hornets advance to next week's minor semi-final. Hornets will take massive confidence from their resilience however they must look to fire from the opening whistle if they hope to continue their finals march against a formidable LIFE Studio.

Meanwhile, the day's other key matchup served as a high-stakes prelude to the major semi-final, with ladder leaders Vipers defeating a depleted Orange City 43–34. Playing without key defensive personnel and missing shooter Caitlin Henning for the first quarter, City fell behind as Vipers' Ellie Mooney and Charli Greatbatch shot the team to an early 8–2 lead.

To their credit, City fought back valiantly. Bolstered by arrival Henning and gritty midcourt defence from Emma Tremble and Tegan Dray, City reduced the deficit to just three goals by the final change (32–29). Ultimately, however, the Vipers flexed their championship credentials in the fourth quarter, utilising passing depth, strong swing balls and robust circle defence from Suz Simpson and Taylor Hobby to pull away.

While Vipers firmly proved they are the team to beat for back-to-back titles, City's tenacity ensures next week's major semi-final rematch will be no foregone conclusion.
