Christmas Luncheon

Orange Retired Railway Personnel and Associates gathered for their 2019 Christmas Luncheon last week.

John Bastick explained that with just over 80 members he was ‘stoked’ with the turn out on the day.

“Most of us here are retired railway people, I’ve been retired 22 years and have always enjoyed the comradeship this group has brought. They are a good bunch, a lot of these people here are friends.

We do trips away, we’ve covered some ground, in the past we have travelled to New Zealand, Kangaroo Island, Queensland, Victoria, Norfolk Island, with declining memberships we are doing more day tours to local areas, including Millthorpe, Manildra and Forbes.

We have a monthly meeting on the last Friday of the moth at 2pm at Orange City Bowling Club, where we have a guest speakers, get through general business, make representations on behalf of the club, and have a few beers,” John smiled.
