Spring Hill set to become a War Zone

On Saturday March 30th, Spring Hill will become a war zone. A Tug-O-War zone that is.

The organisers of the Spring Hill Whistle Stop Festival are revisiting the themes yesteryear by holding a Tug-O-War Competition, just like we used to see on community picnic days.

Spring Hill Activities Group is calling for Teams, consisting of 8 members each, to join in this nostalgic event. There’s an entry fee of $100 per team with great prizes to be won.

The call out is to any sporting teams, trades, service, village teams or just group of mates who would like to form a team and come to enjoy the festivities.  The prize pool of $1750 is worth the drive to Spring Hill, (1st prize - $1000, 2nd prize - $500 sponsored Railway Hotel, Spring Hill and 3rd prize - $250).

Tim Jones, President of the Spring Hill Activities Group believes the competition will be a lot of fun and a great spectacle for the visiting crowd. He also mentioned that the group is excited to have Neil Gill who will be the master of ceremonies for the competition.

The Tug-O-War Competition rules and entry forms are available on the Spring Hill NSW Facebook site or email springhillactivitiesgroup@gmail.com  for further information.

Entries close on 28 March – 10 teams will be required for the competition to go ahead.  Matches will be a best pull of three, the winner winning two out of the three pulls.
