Raise a glass for bushfire recovery!

Orange’s Badlands Brewery has come up with a thirst-quenching plan to help communities and wildlife areas affected by this unprecedented bushfire season.

Thanks to the generosity of Voyager Malt and Hop Products Australia, who have donated all the ingredients for the beer, Badlands has brewed a one-off batch of "Recovery Beer” which they will be giving away for free!

The only catch for participated pubs and bars is that they must give at least 65 per cent of the proceeds from the beer to an approved bushfire relief charity — most venues have opted for 100 per cent!

Motus Transport are taking care of delivering the beer and KegStar have donating the rental of the kegs for free.

Orange-based designer Lucas Martin has also donated his time to produce the poster that is going to all participating venues; it features the native Banksia, one of the first plants to burst back into life after fire.

The beer itself is a tropical ale style (4.5%), described as soft, fruity and sessionable. To grab a glass and help a great cause, visit the Greenhouse of Orange or The Agrestic Grocer.
