Tune in for you weekly JAM!

JAM Orange’s Sunday Lockdown streaming sessions are here for the duration.

With pubs and clubs closed for the foreseeable future, JAM Orange decided to take their Open Mic night online, launching a hosted livestream event where local artist can submit videos of their performance.

Following a successful debut, JAM have decided to continue the format and will hold weekly livestreams every Sunday at 6pm.

“The reaction we’ve had was really good,” said JAM Orange’s Mark Welch. “A lot of the regular participants tuned into the first one and then the second one, we had new people tuning in and we are hoping to grow the audience week by week.”

The livestreams are an opportunity to continue showcasing local musicians work as well as that of musicians have performed for JAM, Mark said.

“We are trying to cover a broad range of genres and there seems to be growing interest… we're finding that there are more and more people that are starting to submit which is really exciting and we’ve been getting lots of really good feedback.

“And there may be scope to continue it on if people are interested, once the social distancing is over. It could be a teaser for people to get off their couch and go and see a live gig!”
