Support for our Awesome Health Staff

Hospital workers enjoy free coffee

Local health care workers enjoyed a free coffee last week, thanks to Cadia’s workforce-driven initiative to thank Orange Health Service.

All staff throughout the hospital, Bloomfield hospital and allied health units were invited to benefit from the Cuppa on Cadia initiative.

With the help of Byng Street Coffee Cart, more than 800 coffees were donated to health care workers to acknowledge their hard work during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Free meals for Blayney Health Service

To recognise the valuable work of Blayney Health Service, hospital workers were each given a family meal at the end of their shift on Friday, sponsored by Newcrest Mining’s Cadia Valley Operations, through its COVID-19 Community Support Fund.

Cadia has recently supported a number of initiatives at Orange Health Service and wanted to extend the support and appreciation to the Blayney Health Service through sponsoring meals provided by Akehurst Bakery.

The initiative gave Cadia an opportunity to thank Blayney health care workers for the very important role they play in keeping our community safe and healthy.
