Beauty inside and out at Soul Hair & Beauty Room
“Beauty starts from within,” says Shona Hartley from Soul Hair and Beauty Room.
A beauty therapist with decades of experience Shona knows more than a thing or two about good skin and while the treatments she offers are effective, she know there is no substitute for good nutrition, which is why she is now promoting the JS Health range of vitamins to her clients.
“It is all in your gut,” she said, “So if you want to have good skin you have to have a healthy gut. Yes, skin care helps, and we can do all these sorts of thing to help, but these are working from within out.”

“Eye envy is a product that has been around for a long time and it sells out like crazy,” she said.
“It’s combination of vitamins and strengthening peptide actually helps promotes hair growth. These days a lot of young girls are using eyelash extensions, but when they come out they pull their lashes out as well. Eye Envy helps thicken and strengthens your lashes and encourages them to grow. It also helps thicken your eyebrows as well.
Soul Hair and Beauty also regularly hosts visiting specialists: DB Beauty will be at the salon next on the 7th and 8th of August performing microblading and eyebrow tattooing; and Radiant Skin Clinic’s Linda Carnovale will be available for botox and filler treatments on the 14th of August.
“They book out every time they come, so book early,” said Shona, who has recently undertaken training to provide Reiki treatments.
“Reiki is part of that whole holistic side of beauty and it is something I’ve been excited about doing for many and will now be offering that service here at the salon.
“We also stock a range of crystal infused candles that we just can’t keep in stock they are that popular.”
Hairdresser Tammy Nonnemacher offers an extensive range of hairdressing services with a class one licence in hairdressing and barbering. Supported by Wella, Tammy also has kikoto organic henna blends on offer.
“We are a one stop shop,” said Shona. “You can have your hair, eyebrows and waxing done, or why not book in for your facial beforehand.”
