Orange Tenpin Bowl finished up its 40th-anniversary competitive season with its long-running OTBA Annual Awards Night.

Orange Tenpin Bowl opened in September 1983, and just one year later, in December 1984 they held their first awards night. The awards have been given every year since, although no awards presentation day was held during Covid restrictions.

These Awards are presented to bowlers by the Orange Tenpin Bowling Association committee acknowledging their achievements, such as the highest-scoring game or series during the year whilst bowling at the Orange Tenpin Bowl in the league.

The Bowler of the Year for each category is chosen with a points system which is awarded to bowlers for participation in a or multiple leagues, bowling in local, regional, state, national or international tournaments with additional points awarded to their placing in these events and points also awarded for representative teams participation. The Bowler with the highest number of points becomes the 2023 Winner in their category.

The Most Improved Bowler is awarded to the bowler who has improved the most pins from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

The Most Prestigious Award is given to the recipients for their contribution to the sport and the OTBA members by giving their time, and helping out whenever possible. They are nominated by other members because of their commitment to Bowlers and the Orange Tenpin Bowl and or the OTBA.

Congratulations to all the recipients of the 2023 OTBA Annual Awards – you all are so very deserving!
